The following terms form a legal agreement between you and Consumertec. By accessing, browsing, or using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, together with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.
1. Authorisation
By submitting your PC or laptop to Consumertec, you authorise us to:
• Carry out a full diagnostic assessment to identify faults or damage.
• Provide an estimate for repair costs and turnaround time.
• Transport the device to and from our workshop where required.
Any device left unclaimed for more than 90 days after notification may be disposed of or resold. Consumertec accepts no liability to the customer or any third party for devices left beyond this period.
2. Limitation of Liability
Consumertec is not responsible for:
• The ongoing functionality or condition of any PC, laptop, or storage device.
• Loss, corruption, or recovery failure of data before, during, or after repairs.
• Any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of revenue, profits, or business interruption.
Customers are strongly advised to back up all important data before any repair work is carried out.
3. Confidentiality
Consumertec treats all customer information and data as confidential. Any files, documents, or personal information stored on your device will only be accessed where necessary to complete the requested service and will never be shared with third parties unless required by law.
4. Payment
Full payment is required upon completion of the repair and before the device is returned to the customer.
We accept:
• Credit & Debit Cards
• Cash
• Bank Transfer
5. Warranty
All repairs completed by Consumertec include a 30-day warranty covering the specific repair carried out. On new parts manufacturing warranty applies.
6. Diagnostic Fee
A non-refundable diagnostic fee of £49 applies to all inspection and fault-finding services. If you proceed with the recommended repair through Consumertec, the diagnostic fee will be deducted from the final repair cost. No refund will be given if you decide not to proceed.
Privacy Policy

“Personal Data” refers to any information that can identify you as an individual. Consumertec processes personal data in accordance with current UK data protection legislation.
2. How We Use Your Data
Consumertec collects and processes personal information solely for the purpose of:

• Permanently removed once the work is completed
